Profile

Professor Ho is a senior consultant endocrinologist who is skilled in the management of pituitary and metabolic disorders, and hormone disorders of the thyroid, adrenal and reproductive organs. He is a graduate of the University of Sydney, received a doctorate degree from the UNSW before undertaking further training at the University of Virginia.

He is conjoint professor, Faculty of Medicine UNSW, Emeritus Fellow at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and Honorary Consultant St. Vincent’s Hospital. From 2000-2010, he was Head, Department of Endocrinology, St. Vincent’s. From 2010-2018, he was Chair, Centres for Health Research and Pre-eminent senior staff specialist Princess Alexandra Hospital holding conjoint professorial appointments to the University of Queensland and the Queensland University of Technology.

Professor Ho is recognised nationally and internationally. He is an ex- President of the Endocrine Society of Australia and the recipient of its inaugural Senior Plenary Award. He is an ex-President of the international Pituitary Society and Growth Hormone Research Societies, and the recipient of 2000 Visiting Trust Professor and the 2008 Asia Oceania Medal of the British Endocrine Society. In 2016, he was admitted as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Science.
