Profile 

Dr Anthony Glover is an Endocrine, Oncology and General Surgeon. He is a senior research officer at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and a VMO Surgeon with the University of Sydney Endocrine Surgery Unit and Surgical Education Research and Training (SERT) Institute at Royal North Shore Hospital. Anthony completed general surgical training at St Vincent's Hospital (Sydney), followed by clinical fellowships in surgical oncology with the Royal Marsden Hospital (London) and in endocrine surgery with the University of Sydney Endocrine Surgical Unit.

Anthony's research focuses on improving the understanding of endocrine cancers (thyroid and adrenal) to develop new treatments. In 2016 he was awarded a PhD in the molecular biology of adrenal cancer with the Cancer Genetics Laboratory of the Kolling Institute of Medical Research (University of Sydney). Subsequently he received a Neil Hamilton Fairley NHRMC Fellowship, allowing him to receive post-doctoral research experience at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York) in the thyroid cancer laboratory of the clinician-scientist Jim Fagin.
