St Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney is a leading Australian centre for otology, neuro-otology and skull base surgery. Each year the Department performs over 1,000 cases in all fields of otolaryngology including head and neck tumour surgery, advanced nasal and sinus surgery as well as voice disorders. 

The St Vincent's Private Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck and Skull Base Surgery has gained national and international recognition as a centre of excellence for its clinical practice and teaching programs.

  • Acoustic Neuroma (Vestibular Schwannoma) and Skull Base Surgery
  • Advanced Laser ear and Hearing Restoration Surgery
  • Cochlear Implantation and Bone Anchored Hearing Aids
  • Head and Neck Cancer Surgery and Reconstruction,

  • Thyroid, Parathyroid and Salivary Gland Surgery
  • Advanced Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) and Allergy
  • Management & Surgery of Voice Disorders
  • Laser Treatment of Benign conditions of the larynx

The Department works in close collaboration with our neurosurgical and plastic surgical colleagues and provide multi-disciplinary care in these areas. 

Teaching is provided to trainees with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons as well as fellowships in otology, neuro-otology, skull base surgery, rhinology and head and neck surgery. Students from the University of NSW and Notre Dame medical schools are also part of the teaching program.

The Department provides out-reach services to the indigenous community in Moree.
