Dr Symons is a minimally-invasive Urologist & Urological Surgeon whose practice offers a comprehensive and modern Urological service, focusing on improvements in quality of life, and who strives to actively educate patients regarding their conditions and involve them in the decision-making process.
As part of the Garvan Institute’s prostate cancer research group since 2010, and a University of Sydney faculty member, Dr Symons is involved in the future of Urology. Following a decade of Australian surgical training, Dr Symons undertook post-fellowship U.K. sub-specialty training in complex kidney laparoscopy and robotic surgery for both benign and oncological cases.
Dr Symons has practices in Sydney’s Darlinghurst & Eastwood, and provides specialist services to Riverina patients in conjuction with Riverina Urology.
In addition to comprehensive Urological cancer care, Sydney Uro offers contemporary treatment for male lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) / enlarged prostate treatment, kidney stone treatment, vasectomy and microsurgical vasectomy reversal.
Dr Symons is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and holds membership with the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand, Australian Medial Association, European Association of Urology, American Urological Association, Australian - Canadian Prostate Cancer Research Alliance, International Continence Society, Academy of Surgical Educators, and Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow.
