He is Conjoint Associate Professor, Department of Surgery at the University of New South Wales, Clinical Associate Professor, Sydney Medical School at the University of Sydney, Conjoint Professor, School of Medicine at the University of Western Sydney and Clinical Professor, School of Health Sciences at the University of Tasmania. Professor Stricker is one of the leading experts in the treatment of prostate cancer in Australasia. He has one of the largest experiences in robotic prostatectomy (over 2000), open prostatectomy (over 4000), high-dose-rate brachytherapy (over 480), low-dose-rate brachytherapy (over 1000), active surveillance (over 1000), transperineal biopsies (over 7000) and focal NanoKnife therapy (over 250). He has particular skill in tailoring and personalising prostate cancer treatment. He is a pioneer in multiparametric MRI and PSMA PET scan for prostate cancer imaging. His research interest includes quality of life, perfecting potency preservation in surgical techniques, medical imaging and focal therapy. He has authored close to 140 peer review publications.
