Redevelopment Project

Since 1909, St Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney has played an important role in responding to the community’s health needs. Demand on the hospital’s services has grown extraordinarily over the past 100 years and has particularly accelerated in recent decades, predominately due to Australia’s ageing population.

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney strives to constantly improve its world-class patient care. To do this, we have undertaken months of planning and internal consultation to determine how we can respond to the community’s health needs, both now and into the future.

Our redevelopment project includes two major components:
• A new 13-storey East Wing, which will include a redeveloped staff cafeteria, new ambulatory care service, two new operating theatres, expanded medical/surgical inpatient units, a new rehabilitation service and additional doctors’ suites
• The refurbishment of the existing medical/surgical inpatient units on levels 6 to 10, the refurbishment of the main entrance on level 4, and associated building infrastructure upgrades within the original building.
